VISION: Life Groups are small groups of friends “DOING LIFE TOGETHER” and encouraging each other to grow in understanding and living out God’s Word.
Participating in A life Group
We make a priority of meeting together regularly
Each person is important to the group, and has something to contribute by taking part
A great privilege and opportunity as a group, a tangible way to include God in group experiences
Time in God’s Word, to discover His love and purposes
Listen to, and talk with each other about what God is doing in and through our lives
As love and encouragement are expressed, the compassion of Christ is experienced
A great way to follow Jesus is to spend time serving as a group or individual
Message from Pastor Michele
I have missed seeing you all very much! I pray that you are staying healthy during this COVID-19 season. Please know that if you have a prayer request, would like to chat and process, or need something else, you are welcome to reach out to me on my cell phone at (619) 885-0531.
In light of this COVID season, we have had to adjust the way we do ministry.
Sunday Mornings: We are back on Sunday mornings in our English & Spanish adult Worship services. We are providing children with a “Busy Bags” with fun activities & snack to keep them engaged to God’s Word at their level.
FX (Family eXperience) Wednesday Nights: We open our mid-week Children’s Ministry program effective Wednesday July 1st! It will be our first step to opening Children’s Ministry on campus. All Wednesday night ministry will enter through the Welcome Center! We are so excited!
Children’s Ministry on COVID-19 Mode:
- Mask are optional but will be available.
- Kids will use hand sanitizer upon entering classroom & exiting classrooms.
- Teachers will wear smocks/aprons for extra coverage.
- If you child has any symptoms of illness, please stay home!
- Wednesday Night program will be in 4&5’s classroom so that the children have direct bathroom accessibility to use the restroom & wash hands.
- Parents need to drop children off at the door but please do NOT enter the classroom.
- Reminder please bring diaper bags with supplies needed to care for your children.
- Our Friday night R2R is opening this Friday, July 3rd, but are not opening up R2R kids at this time. Praying it will be soon!
Please continue to be in prayer for our Children’s Ministry as the leaders continue to pray, plan, organize, and serve in new ways to reach your kiddos in this new “normal” time as we enter into Phase 1 for Children’s ministry.
We will keep you posted as we venture to open R2R Kids on Friday nights & Sunday kids worship service, Littles, and Life groups. Continue to be in prayer for the next Parkside Kids Children’s Director as we continue to seek what God has in store for Parkside Kids.
I miss seeing all of your smiling faces & getting hugs. Hopefully I will see you on Sunday.
During January through March the Experiencing God class will explore Parkside’s theme for 2020: Servanthood. Using Charles Swindoll’s book “Improving Your Serve” as a reference, we will see what Scripture says about being a servant in our personal, professional and spiritual lives. Roll up your sleeves, lace up your work boots and prepare to be humbled and challenged.
